Welcome to Southlake

Frequently ranked by Forbes magazine as one of the wealthiest ZIP codes in the U.S., Southlake is known for beautiful custom homes and luxurious estates, all listed by the real estate experts at Allie Beth Allman & Associates.

Southlake comprises 22.5 square miles of rolling terrain with meandering creeks. This friendly and welcoming city is home to city and community parks with well-equipped playgrounds, ball fields, tennis courts, and walking trails. Several public pavilions are just the place to gather for a picnic or birthday celebration, while young anglers learn to fish at one of the nearby ponds.

The local community provides enthusiastic support for the Keep Southlake Beautiful initiative, with volunteers dedicated to making the city an environmentally friendly place to live, play, and work. Nowhere is that more visible than at the city’s annual “Art in the Square” celebration, a weekend-long event with music, food, and more than 150 juried artists showcasing their artwork. The event is held at Southlake Town Square, the heart of the city that was built around the signature Town Hall. The downtown area features nearly 100 retail and boutique stores, popular restaurants, as well as Southlake Municipal Court, Department of Public Safety headquarters, single-family residences, a movie theater, and a full-service luxury hotel. The area also plays host to the city's library, offering activities and events for children and adults.

As one of the highest-rated education systems in the state, Carroll Independent School District provides most Southlake children with a strong academic background so they are well-prepared for further educational pursuits. Unlike other districts in Texas, all schools in Carroll use the same dragon logo and mascot. Small portions of the city are zoned for the Northwest, Keller, and Grapevine-Colleyville districts.
