Welcome to Grapevine

Wine, water recreation, and easy travel make Grapevine one of the most popular cities in North Texas. Rated by CNNMoney.com as one of "America's Best Places to Live,” Grapevine features outstanding custom homes and luxurious estates, many listed by Allie Beth Allman & Associates.

Built on the banks of Grapevine Lake, the city is named for the wild grapes that early settlers found on the prairie surrounding this historic city. True to its roots, Grapevine boasts a booming wine industry with several wineries, wine-tasting rooms, and festivals that draw visitors from Texas and beyond. Historic Downtown Grapevine has a collection of boutique shops and art galleries, plus more than 200 restaurants. In recent years, fantastic hotels and resorts that offer fun for the entire family have been located in Grapevine.

Grapevine Lake, a large Army Corps of Engineers reservoir, serves as a source of water and a popular spot for all kinds of water sports and recreation. The city has been designated a Runner-Friendly Community by the Road Runners Club of America. It has 24 miles of hiking and biking trails. One trail in Grapevine links four other communities, creating an additional 11-mile trail. The city also has an indoor 1/8 mile walking/jogging track and several outdoor tracks that belong to the local school district. The city has a joint-use agreement with the school district for the use of school facilities.

Most homes are served by the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District. A large portion of northwest Grapevine is served by Carroll ISD, while small parts are served by Lewisville and Coppell ISDs.

The Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is so close to Grapevine that a portion of the sprawling airport lies within the city’s jurisdiction. This proximity to one of the world’s busiest airports has attracted residents who travel for business and pleasure.
