Welcome to Flower Mound

Located in both Denton and Tarrant Counties on the shores of Grapevine Lake, Flower Mound is home to more than 75,000 people across its 43.4 square mile footprint. The area gets its name from “The Mound,” a 1.5-acre hill in the center of town.

The River Walk at Central Park is a 158-acre, pedestrian-friendly, multi-use development under construction and opening in stages. A hospital, medical offices, and a hotel are already in place. The River Walk will also house restaurants, shops, and an amphitheater. Flower Mound residents also enjoy the Community Activity Center, which offers aquatics programs, group exercise, birthday parties, and more.

For those who prefer indoor fun, the city offers plenty to do, such as enjoying a glass of wine while taking an art class at Bottle and Bottega. Or, catch the latest show at the Moviehouse & Eatery.  Kids will race to spend the day at Play Street Museum, then head over to the Sea Life Aquarium.

The majority of students in Flower Mound attend Lewisville Independent School District. With 95% of students graduating from high school, the area is a top choice for families with school-age children. There are 28 four-year colleges or universities located within 50 miles of Flower Mound.
